Coming Soon to Meridian

God desires to have an eternal relationship with us. However, there are often things in our lives that create a barrier between us and God.

To free us from these obstacles, God sent his Son Jesus, who transforms us into the masterpiece that God intends us to be. However, it is not His intention for us to walk alone in this journey.

Freedom Church is a community of believers who live out their faith in Christ by loving, challenging, encouraging, and helping others in their life journey.

Helping people experience the freedom that comes from knowing Christ, so they are free to be the person that God has called them to be, is the mission of Freedom Church.

Our Values

Our freedom is built on our faith in God's grace; a trust that is alive and full of confidence.

We all experience obstacles in our lives, as well as, joy and success. During these moments, it's important to have a community that we can rely on for support and encouragement. This is the essence of true community, and it's even more critical as we pursue the freedom that comes from our faith in Jesus.

As believers, we have faith that through Christ, we have been freed from our sins and have been given everlasting life. As a result, we can now live the life that He has planned for us from the beginning.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Luke 4:18-19 NIV

Chris Webster
Lead Pastor

Pastor Chris is the founder and lead pastor of Freedom Church. One of his core beliefs is that freedom in Christ is most powerfully expressed and experienced when we do life together as a faith community.

Not growing up in the church, and accepting Jesus Christ as a young adult after trying to find his own way...he has been humbled by the power and freedom that come from God’s grace and knows that God has called him to proclaim this same freedom to his local community and beyond.  Chris and Leah grew up in Florida, where they met in high school and have been married for more than 20 years. Chris has a BS from Southeastern University and is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in theology.

What We Hold True

We believe in One God who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, which is the Trinity

According to the Bible, man was created a good and upright being, in the image and likeness of God. However, through an act of voluntary disobedience, sin entered the world and fellowship with God was broken. This resulted in not only physical death, but also spiritual death. Spiritual death refers to separation of man from God.

The Gospel

The good news is that God desires to restore our broken relationship with Him. He accomplished this by sending his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. But that’s not the end of the story – after three days Jesus rose from the dead, proving his power over death and sin.

We believe that by accepting the Gospel we are born again by the Holy Spirit, making us children of God and granting us eternal life. This is a purely gracious gift from God, not obtained by any human effort or good deeds.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present and active in the church and in the lives of believers today. The baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to empower and encourage every believer.

Looking to plug into ministry?  Let's talk!

We believe Jesus is the hope of the world and that His plan is to reach people through the local church. However, we cannot do this on our own. We are looking for like-minded people to help us carry the life-giving message of Jesus throughout the Treasure Valley. If you have a desire to be a part of what God is doing through Freedom Church, we’d love to hear from you!
